Kefir is a fermented probiotic-rich beverage. It has been around for thousands of years and is well-loved globally.
You get two types: Milk and Water Kefir.
Milk kefir is typically made of cow's milk, goat milk or nut milk.
Milk Kefir has typically more than 30 strains and Water kefir more than 15 strains of probiotics, such as lactobacillus, lactococcus, streptococcus, and leuconostoc, to name a few.
Both Milk and Water Kefir can be flavoured with fruits and fruit syrups. Avoid using artificial sweeteners as they actually kill off the gut microbes.
